Each Kneeling Log (Knieholz) has been gilded in traditional gold-on-gesso technique and features a mantra carved or written on the sculpture.
The performance features Knieholz 001 (2019) that comes with the text:
“May suffering be my food, may sweat be my unguent. May suffering nourish me, heal me, give me light, give me wisdom, cover my nudity.”
